Yes. Registration and full use of the platform is completely free for teachers. You can create your professional profile, browse jobs, and submit applications at no cost.

What documents do I need to register?

You will need: a copy of your passport, academic certificates, a teaching licence (if applicable), and experience certificates. You can complete your profile gradually.

How do access codes work?

An access code is a time-limited link that allows a school to view your professional profile. You control who can see your information and when the code expires.

Can I apply to jobs in multiple GCC countries simultaneously?

The platform currently operates in Oman. We plan to expand gradually to other GCC countries — details will be announced in due course.

Can I upload my CV directly?

Yes. You can upload your CV as a PDF file alongside building your full professional profile on the platform.

Does the platform support online or remote teaching roles?

No. Ostaz is dedicated exclusively to in-person teaching roles within Oman.

How do I know a school is trustworthy?

Every school on the platform has passed three verification gates: a verified Commercial Registration, a mandatory training course, and an activation fee. Schools bearing the "Verified" badge have undergone a manual review by our team.

How long does it typically take to hear back after applying?

Response times vary between schools, but most active schools on the platform respond within one to two weeks. You will receive a notification whenever your application status is updated.

How do I register as a school?

Click "Create a School Account", then complete the three steps: upload your Commercial Registration, complete the training course, and pay the activation fee. After that you can post jobs immediately.

What is the activation fee?

The activation fee is a small one-time charge. It covers the cost of verifying your Commercial Registration and confirms the school's seriousness in using the platform.

What subscription plans are available for schools?

We offer free and paid plans. The free plan allows a limited number of job postings, while paid plans provide unlimited postings, advanced ATS tools, and direct access to teacher profiles.

How can I verify a teacher's identity and documents?

Every teacher on the platform has uploaded their documents to their profile. You can request a direct access link from the teacher to review their complete profile including certificates and experience.

Can I manage the full recruitment process on the platform?

Yes. The platform supports the complete hiring pipeline: receiving applications, reviewing profiles, scheduling interviews, and issuing job offers.

How long does Commercial Registration verification take?

Typically 1 to 3 business days. Our team will contact you if additional documents are required.

Can I pause a job listing?

Yes. You can pause or delete any job at any time from the employer dashboard.

Does the platform support job listings in both English and Arabic?

Yes. You can write job listings in both languages, and they will be shown to the relevant teachers based on their language preferences.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept credit and debit cards via Amwalpay, as well as bank transfers and cash payments that are manually recorded by administrators.

Which currencies are supported?

We support payment in OMR, AED, SAR, KWD, QAR, BHD, and USD.

How does the platform protect teachers' personal data?

Your personal data is never shared with any school without your explicit consent via access codes. We follow industry-standard cybersecurity practices and applicable data protection policies.

How do I report inappropriate behaviour from a school or teacher?
