Terms of Service

In these Terms, the following terms carry the meanings set out opposite them:

• "Platform": the website ostazcv.com, its associated applications, and the services delivered through them.
• "Teacher": an individual registered on the platform as a candidate for an in-person teaching role.
• "School / Employer": an educational institution registered on the platform to post vacancies and search for qualified teachers.
• "Commercial Registration (CR)": a valid business registration document issued by the relevant government authority that establishes the legal standing of the school.
• "Activation Fee": the nominal fee of one US dollar (USD 1) or its equivalent paid by schools to confirm their commitment to using the platform.
• "Access Code": a time-limited link generated by a teacher to allow a specific school to view their professional profile.

To use the platform you must meet all of the following requirements:

• Age: You must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legal capacity: You must have full legal capacity to enter into contracts under the law applicable in your country.
• Teachers: You must hold the qualifications and licences required to teach, and be eligible to work in the target countries.
• Schools: You must hold a valid Commercial Registration in a GCC country and all licences required to operate as an educational institution.

By registering as a teacher you agree to:

• Accuracy of information: Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information in your profile and job applications, and update it promptly whenever changes occur.
• No impersonation: Not misrepresent your qualifications or experience, and not submit falsified documents.
• Non-discrimination: Deal fairly with schools without discrimination on the basis of gender, nationality, religion, or disability.
• Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of information you access about schools during the recruitment process.
• Lawful use: Not use the platform for advertising or promotional purposes outside the scope of job searching.

By registering as a school you agree to:

• Valid CR: Maintain a valid and current Commercial Registration and notify the platform upon its expiry or renewal.
• Genuine vacancies: Post only genuine job openings. Posting fictitious or test listings is prohibited.
• Non-discrimination: Post and hire without regard to gender, nationality, religion, or any legally protected characteristic.
• No fees to teachers: You must not charge teachers any fees or payments in exchange for submitting job applications or accepting job offers.
• Salary transparency: Honour the salary ranges advertised and not make material changes after offers are extended.
• Respect for privacy: Use teacher data accessed via access codes solely for recruitment purposes.

A school may not post any vacancy until it has completed all three of the following verification gates in full:

• Gate 1 — Commercial Registration Verification: Upload your Commercial Registration and await its manual review and approval by the Ostaz team (typically 1–3 business days).
• Gate 2 — Orientation Course: Successfully complete the mandatory training course, which ensures understanding of the platform's ethical hiring standards.
• Gate 3 — Activation Fee: Pay the nominal activation fee (USD 1 or equivalent) via any supported payment method.

The following fee structures apply to platform users:

• Teacher registration: Completely free. No fees for registration, browsing, or submitting applications.
• School activation fee: USD 1 (or equivalent), paid once upon completion of the three-gate verification.
• Free Plan: Limited number of job postings.
• Premium Plan: Unlimited postings, advanced ATS tools, and direct access to professional profiles.
• Non-refundable: The activation fee is non-refundable once verification is complete.
• Accepted currencies: OMR, AED, SAR, KWD, QAR, BHD, and USD.

All users are prohibited from:

• Fake listings: Posting fictitious or misleading job vacancies.
• Automated scraping: Using software or tools to extract data from the platform automatically without prior written consent.
• Spam: Sending unsolicited messages or commercial promotions outside the scope of recruitment.
• Harassment and abuse: Any harassing or abusive conduct towards other users.
• Privacy violations: Attempting to access other users' data without their explicit consent.
• System manipulation: Any attempt to breach security, manipulate matching algorithms, or exploit platform vulnerabilities.

The teacher retains full ownership of their professional intellectual property (CV, certificates, experience). By uploading content to the platform, the teacher grants Ostaz a limited, non-exclusive licence to use that content for the purposes of job matching, verification, and service improvement. The source code, design, algorithms, and trademarks are the exclusive property of the Ostaz platform and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

The platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account in the following circumstances:

• Terms violation: Any material breach of these Terms or the Privacy Policy.
• Misrepresentation: Discovery of false information or falsified documents.
• Expired CR: A school's Commercial Registration expiring without renewal.
• Abusive behaviour: Proven harassing or abusive conduct towards other users.
• Appeal process: Any suspended account has the right to submit an appeal within 14 days by email to hello@ostazcv.com. Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days.

The platform is provided "as is" without any implied or express warranty. Ostaz does not guarantee that a teacher will find employment or that a school will hire any specific candidate. The platform acts solely as a matching intermediary and is not a party to any contractual relationship between a teacher and a school. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ostaz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the platform.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. In the event of a dispute, the parties shall make a genuine effort to resolve it amicably first. If an amicable settlement is not reached within 30 days, the dispute shall be resolved by litigation before the competent courts of the Sultanate of Oman.
